The LEOKINO 1 has the biggest auditorium within the three cinemas of the Otto Preminger-Institut. Its screen is slightly bend, following the later recommendations for 70mm installations and still amazing with a visual difference to the flat screens of today. [read more]

DERSU UZALA, produced in the former Soviet Union/Japan (directed by Akira Kurosawa from Japan), which was almost entirely shot outdoors in the ruggedly beautiful Siberian wilderness, was screened in 70mm in January 2010.

Kubricks REBEL AGAINST ROME with the famous Issur Danielowitsch Demsky (he is better known as Kirk Douglas) as some sort of anti slavery hero against the Roman Empire was screened in 70mm in November 2009.

In 1986 the well-known restaurator Robert A. Harris (restauration of Abel Gance's NAPOLEON) contacted Columbia Pictures width the suggestion to restore the first run version from 1962 LAWRENCE OF ARABIA.
After 2 years intensive research and meticulous draft of tons of material:
